About the event

Pesky, but essential documents: which ones are they, what to look for, and how to fill them out. You will hear from elder law attorney Randy Clinkscales on what documents are necessary and what he wants in them. Jill Wechsler, care coordinator, will talk about who and how to sign, and what the documents allow the family to do.

  • Have you run into a situation where your patient does not have a healthcare power of attorney, a financial power of attorney or a living will? Who can fill out a DNR? Who can prepare a living will? What happens if there's a conflict?
  • Many times I have healthcare professionals contact us at the last minute. Their patient/resident has run out of money and they discover that something has happened that's going to disqualify that patient. It may be something that hte patient did but it may be something new in actual or implied rules. We're going to update you and teach you how to avoid those traps.

*note: we will not be offering CEU credits for this series.
