Clinkscales Elder Care Law Practice, P.A. is dedicated to the process of long-term care and estate planning. It was founded by Randy Clinkscales in response to what he identified as a growing need for families and individuals to address concerns that involve aging.

We are committed to making the process of planning for the future, our own and that of those we love, as pain-free as possible. The firm holds the philosophy that dedicated customer service and individual attention can actually make this difficult process empowering and even rewarding.

Like traditional elder law firms, Clinkscales Elder Law Practice, P.A. helps you protect your loved one’s assets from the nursing home. But we don’t stop there. Our multidisciplinary team helps you address the problems that keep you up at night–like making sure that your loved one is getting the best possible care day after day.

Why We Started:

Founder, Randy Clinkscales was inspired to change the focus of his practice when faced with the long-distance care of his grandmother in Texas. He came to realize the importance of elder law and the demanding need of the elderly. Under his leadership, the Elder Law Practice has pioneered an integrated care coordination and elder-centered planning approach that is much needed in Kansas. The firm serves clients from all across the State of Kansas.

OUR TEAM

Randy Clinkscales

Randy Clinkscales founded Clinkscales Elder Law Practice, P.A. in 1985. He is a 1980 graduate of Washburn Law School and has represented clients at the administrative, county state and federal levels in his 30+ years of practice. He is married to Barbara Clinkscales, and they have three sons. Randy was the first area attorney to become a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA). He is also a member of the Kansas Chapter of NAELA, serving as its president for two terms (2009-2011), the Life Care Planning Law Firm Association, and the Elder Law Section of the Kansas Bar Association. In 2004, Clinkscales Elder Law Practice, P.A. began its Elder-Centered Practice, focusing on issues facing our aging population, as well as the caregivers for those who are aging. Randy has co-authored two books, “What You Really Need to Know for the Second Half of Life” and “Protect Your Family!: Don’t Write a Blank Check to the Nur$ing Home,” available on Amazon and at Barnes & Noble. Randy authors a bi-weekly column in the Hays Daily News and Hays Post, where he writes about legal issues facing older adults and the benefits available to them. He presents seminars for continuing education purposes to health care professionals, financial professionals, and attorneys throughout the state of Kansas, as well as seminars to the public.
